BTCS started as a single-person consultancy in 2019, and as a side blog called Beyond the Clock five years before that. The refusal to accept "this is just how it is" became the operating principle Jessica built the firm around.

From biotech floor to BTCS
Jessica's first corporate role was at a San Diego cancer-diagnostics startup, drowning in manual Excel work. She taught herself VBA and built automation that processed patient data a thousand times faster than the manual workflow. The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt followed.

A portion of every month's profit goes to Kiva. Jessica prefers micro-finance because it teaches people to fish, the same philosophy she applies to clients. Repayments cycle back into new loans.
